The first time we entered the Cherbourg shipyard, the boat did not exist yet.
There were empty spaces, structures under construction, separate parts that at first glance seemed far removed from any idea of sailing.
Over the past few months, we have started to see ME Free really take shape.

The hull, the lines, the first outlines of the interior.
Then the details, the systems, the choices that cannot be seen but make all the difference when you live on board.
Following the construction of a boat is a unique experience.
It forces you to slow down and observe every stage, knowing that every decision will stay with you for years.
We chose the Allures Horizon 47 after spending a long time understanding what we were really looking for.
We were not simply looking for a beautiful or fast boat; we were looking for something that would be consistent with the kind of life we imagine for ourselves.
A solid boat, capable of facing the sea without unnecessary complications, while at the same time welcoming, comfortable to live aboard, and suited to long periods on board.

The shipyard
The Allures shipyard in Cherbourg is one of those places where you understand the tremendous effort that goes into designing and building a boat:
- In the people who work there.
- In the precision of every movement.
- In the way every stage is part of a larger whole.

Every visit is different.
Sometimes you find obvious changes.
Other times, they are tiny details, but essential ones.
A section of the systems.
A finish.
A choice that seemed secondary on paper but, in person, changes everything.
The boat is almost ready
Soon we will see her outside the shipyard, complete, no longer as a collection of parts, but as something that can actually move.
Because until now, ME Free has above all been an idea slowly taking shape; soon it will become something tangible, something to live with every day.
Tree installation
And here is ME Free outside the construction site just as the tree is being put in place.

Splashing!
ME Free is finally ready for the SPLASH!
